The Academy of Medical Educators (AoME) awarded Erik Driessen during the EBMA, The European Board of Medical Assessors conference with the Honorary Fellowship of he Academy of Medical Educators. This is the Academy’s highest award and is bestowed on exceptional individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to both medical education and to the Academy. This is a lifetime honorary award, allowing full benefits as a Fellow of the Academy.

The President Professor Derek Gallen, handed out the award on the awards Ceremony of EBMA’s Annual Academic Conference, held on 14th October in Exeter UK with the theme: ’Crossing boundaries: Assessment in Medical Education'.
