One of Driessen’s favorite pastimes is reading. As a scientist and journal editor he reads papers and books on different subjects, covering the whole medical education spectrum. Among his best-loved books outside of medical education (although you could discuss that many novels, such as Doctor Zhivago are within the scope of medical education) figure Russian classical works such as “War and peace”, but also more modern Russian classics such as “Life an fate” from Grossman, and modern literature such as the “My struggle” series” from Knausgård, or “Canada” from Richard Ford.
Next to reading is writing one of his favorite activities. As a first author or as a co-author he has published his work in international and Dutch journals and books. You can freely download the journal papers and some of the books of which Driessen was the (co-)author.
